Iniciado en 2021, este acuerdo busca corregir las deficiencias en la cooperaci\u00f3n y la capacidad global que quedaron en evidencia durante la <strong>pandemia de COVID-19<\/strong>.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-9b38313 elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"9b38313\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-162c556\" data-id=\"162c556\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b1a810 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7b1a810\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLa pandemia de COVID-19 demostr\u00f3 que <strong>ning\u00fan pa\u00eds es inmune a los impactos de una pandemia<\/strong> global. Afect\u00f3 a toda la humanidad, causando m\u00e1s de <strong>7 millones de muertes reportadas<\/strong> y aproximadamente <strong>28.5 millones de muertes en exceso<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de efectos secundarios de salud de gran alcance. Se estima que el costo econ\u00f3mico global acumulado supera los <strong>24 billones de d\u00f3lares estadounidenses (USD).<\/strong> Los mecanismos existentes para la preparaci\u00f3n, prevenci\u00f3n y respuesta ante pandemias han resultado lentos e ineficaces.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c0aa6f0\" data-id=\"c0aa6f0\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-768deba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"768deba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLa actual arquitectura de salud p\u00fablica global <strong>carece de sistemas adecuados de vigilancia<\/strong> y alerta temprana, de financiamiento suficiente, de salvaguardas de equidad y de inversiones en el desarrollo de vacunas y otras tecnolog\u00edas necesarias para una producci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida. Tambi\u00e9n <strong>carece de mecanismos independientes de monitoreo y rendici\u00f3n de cuentas<\/strong> que garanticen el cumplimiento de los Reglamentos Sanitarios Internacionales. AHF de Salud P\u00fablica Global, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Laboratorio de Pol\u00edticas de Salud P\u00fablica de la Universidad de Miami, ha abogado activamente por un <strong>Acuerdo Pand\u00e9mico de la OMS s\u00f3lido y eficaz.<\/strong> \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d78792f elementor-widget
